Sustainable Urban Management Centre The overall programme goal is to ‘secure the development of sustainable cities throughout Thailand through making sustained improvements in the quality of life and livelihoods of the urban poor and by the promotion of participatory urban management and action plans’. The programme will seek to make a significant contribution to realizing Millennium Development Goal 7 ‘Ensure environmental sustainability’ Target 11 (by 2020, to have achieved improvement in the lives of at least 100 million slum dwellers’).
